The Photo Booth is a browser-based application that recreates the classic photo booth experience. Capture 3 photos, apply filters, and download a professional photo strip—all directly in your browser.
Core Functions
Photo Capture
- Automatic Mode: Countdown timer (3-2-1) automatically captures 3 photos
- Manual Mode: Control when each photo is taken
- Live Preview: See yourself on screen with mirrored camera view
Filters
Choose from 5 real-time filters applied to your photos:
- None - Original, unfiltered
- B&W - Black and white
- Sepia - Vintage sepia tone
- Vintage - Warm retro effect
- Cool - Blue/cyan tones
- Warm - Golden/orange tones
Photo Strip Generation
- Combines 3 photos into a vertical strip
- Classic photo booth layout with white background
- Instant download as JPEG file
- High-quality output (95% quality)
How to Use
- Begin - Click "BEGIN" to activate your camera
- Select - Choose capture mode (Auto/Manual) and filter
- Capture - Take 3 photos using your selected mode
- Download - Click "DOWNLOAD STRIP" to save your photo strip
Technical Stack
Built with Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Uses browser Web Media APIs for camera access and Canvas API for image processing. All processing happens client-side—no photos are uploaded to any server.
